GreenTech is Greener than Ever

GTE shipping carbon neutral via UPS

In an effort to move towards sustainability, GreenTech is now shipping carbon neutral via UPS. The next time you receive a UPS shipment from GreenTech, take a look at the shipping label; it will say "CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPMENT." This means that UPS will offset the carbon footprint of the shipment.

CNN Reports on Indoor Air Quality in Schools

One of the greatest aspects of being involved with GreenTech is having the opportunity to be a part of the solution. Over the weekend we watched a CNN news piece on the dismal state of indoor air quality in schools. According to the story, studies estimate that indoor air quality (IAQ) problems such as mold and dust are present in one-third of U.S. schools.

PHI Kills MRSA on Surfaces

A recent study found an air purification technology called Photohydroionization, or PHI, to be effective in killing microbes such as mold, viruses and bacteria. The study, conducted in several healthcare facilities in Kansas City, Kan., specifically addressed the effect of PHI on MRSA, the infamously resistant strain of staph bacteria. According to the findings, the PHI treatment resulted in greater than 90 percent reductions in microbes including MRSA.

pureWash Laundry System: Potential Solution to Microplastic Pollution

GTE's pureWash reduces fiber shedding in wash cycle.

Did you know your washing machine may be producing more than just clean clothes? A recently published study in the November Issue of Environmental Science & Technology suggests that your washing machine is likely the source of major environmental contamination. After researchers found high amounts of microplastics, or tiny particles of plastic (smaller than one nanometer), in water along the shores of eighteen countries’ coastlines, they determined washing machines may be the culprits.

Indoor Air Quality Problem: Particles

GreenTech Environmental President/CEO Allen Johnston discusses a major part of indoor air pollution - particles - and how air filters, including HEPA and Electrostatic Filters cannot remove viruses and poisonous smoke from our breathing space. However, unipolar ionization causes these ultrafine particles to clump together so that they can be removed from the air in our homes and offices.

(RGF) More Testing on REME Complete - Hydroperoxides Match Outdoor Levels

Technical Bulletin

May 2011

A recent independent study of our REME unit once again validated our claims of hydroperoxides. A series of 20 tests were performed over six days utilizing a sophisticated and very expensive ($600,000+) High Pressure Liquid Chromatograph. Testing was performed by Katz Analytical Services. In summary, it showed the following:

New York Times Article: "How Not to Get Sick from a Flight"

The chances of catching an illness are much higher during air travel than most any other time during every day life. This is a fact we've known for years, but every new influenza outbreak reminds us of the reality we face when we travel by air. Stan Weinberg, designer and manufacturer of the MINIMATE, was interviewed regarding how his product can benefit air travelers. The article can be found at:

NAEFSS Endorses GTE Products for Salon Remediation

The need and applications for GreenTech and RGF technology is broad to say the least. On a recent flight, a fellow passenger asked Allen Johnston where GreenTech Environmental's air purification products are needed. The answer was, "any indoor environment where people breathe". The need is immense! However, there are certain indoor environments that are more contaminated than others, and within commercial environments there are certain industries that need our technology more than others. The salon industry is one with great need!
